RULES AND REGULATIONS

Your composition can be of ANY dance style!
All styles are welcome! You will compete in SOLO, DUET, TEAM FORMATION and TEACHER & STUDENT nominations.
We look forward to your well-prepared projects!
Remember! Your composition (act / staged-background / sound quality / costume ) is equally important as your technique!
Make sure to also score on your props to have your best marks from the judges!

Format of the competition aggregates all styles in one MAIN competition in each age group.
Please aware that you are submitting a COMPOSITION, which is more than just good dancing in front of a camera.
It is an ACT, with well-designed props on stage-background.

IV. REGISTRATION, PAYMENT AND VIDEO SUBMISSION

Non-refundable Registration Fee for one Nomination is for the performance of ONE dance lasting 1.5 – 2 minutes.

1. Registration Fee must be paid either via PayPal, or Credit Card (for countries with certain PayPal restrictions)
2. Video materials must be published on YouTube and have open access.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE DO NOT ACTIVATE “FOR KIDS” option on YouTube!
We won’t be able to build playlists by Age Categories in this case.
A link to video materials must be provided through the Registration Form along with Registration Fee.
3. By sending a link to a video, the participant in the competition automatically grants consent to the use of the material by third parties (organizers, jury members, other participants in the competition) and to posting the competition work on the organizer’s website.

V. VIDEO REQUIREMENTS

1. Video recordings of live performances recorded in any environment (dance ballroom, dance class, or at home), on any device including mobile phones. 
2. Recording should be continuous from start to finish. Submissions with traces of editing (stitched frames, overlapped audio tracks, etc.) will be disqualified. 
3. One dance for each nomination must be recorded on one single video. Time for each dance performance shouldn’t exceed 2 minutes EXCLUDING announcement time. Stitching, “glueing” between announcements and performances are not allowed. 
4. A short announcement must include a participant’s First Name, Last Name, Age, Style of Dance, and Date of the recording.
5. Poor quality video recordings will be rejected. 
6. It is allowed to submit videos recorded anytime in 2021. 
7. Stage dress code is a must.
8. Performers must be recorded in full height, camera/mobile phone must be positioned HORIZONTALLY.

The Competition prize fund may vary, and will be distributed proportionally between winners in each age group.
The jury has the right to establish a special incentive prize with the right to participate free of charge in the next Colibri Competition in 2022.
Final results of the Dance Competition 2021 will be published on October 25, 2021.
